Delicious food! Went in close to the end of the night with some friends that put us on to mehran. Now I tell everyone to go try it.

Huge fan of the food here! The front may look unassuming, but there's plenty of seating inside. We got the Goat Saag and aloo pratha, both of which were delicious. I love the herby yogurt sauce that comes with as well. Will be returning!

This restaurant is an amazing late night spot. Was in the area looking for a good curry which this place hit. The customer service was very good, I really appreciated the enthusiasm at this time of night. Lastly, this place had good vibes, had the game between Argentina and Colombia on. Also very nice chai.

I used to be a regular at Meehan's location on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C., so I was happy to see that they opened an Arlington outpost. I just ordered some food for delivery, and thought it was pretty good. Specifically, the naan, palak paneer, and samosa chat were all very good, but I was a little disappointed by the Butter Chicken, which fell a little flat compared to the other dishes - needed seasoning and more depth of flavor. I'll definitely go again, but probably not the butter chicken. Also, this time around I ordered on UberEats, and there was no way to customize your dish order (I wanted to order the Butter Chicken spicier than usual, but could not).

This place was recommended to me by other foodies. This is now my default place for Pakistani food. I had the Achar Chicken, and it was delicious. I had Saag Goat the previous night, and it was amazing as well. I can eat this everyday.

My friend and I stumbled upon this place and decided to try it, not having heard anything about it before. We were pleasantly surprised to say the least! We shared a few things and each left with a container of leftovers and our total for the night was $38 after tax and tip, an insane deal. The portions were excellent for the money! We started with the vegetable pakora which were super crispy and you could tell they were made right before hitting the table. The vegetable biryani was massive, enough for 2-3 meals, and had great spice and flavor. The Shahi Paneer was our favorite, it had a sweeter tomato sauce with excellent flavor. The naan it came with was delicious as well. Before we left, the man at the cash register also let us try the gulab jamun which was probably the best I've ever had. Perfectly warm, soft, and sweet. The restaurant was very clean and as tables left the man was walking around cleaning them with spray. This place was an incredible find and I will definitely be ordering from them in the future!

Same review as before, but wanted to clarify that Mehran is Pakistani. _____________________________________________________________________________ I walk by this restaurant all the time without much of a second glance. It's a hole-in-a-wall right across the Whole Foods in Clarendon, but I'll have to say this is the best Pakistani food I've had in this area. You can get the food that is already prepared at the front (looks like buffet style, but it's not - it's more so a combo order of entree, rice, sides, etc.) or you can order at the counter (their menu is extensive and it was so hard for me to choose). I had a hard time choosing between the various curries and rice entrees. BONELESS CHICKEN BIRYANI - 12.99 There is a +2 in pricing compared to the CHICKEN BIRYANI, but the owner recommended the boneless. I have no regrets. I asked for regular spice, which was a good level for me. First of all, I loved that the rice was dry enough for me to distinguish each individual grain, which was packed with a lot of spices and flavor. It is good to eat alone without chicken, too! The chicken was also super delicious. There were a good amount of herbs, onions, and other toppings mixed in the biryani that provided each bite with so much bold flavors. I'd highly recommend. The portion size was large with lots of rice and still a good amount of chicken. If I didn't eat all my chicken so quickly, I definitely could have packed it home and made another meal out of it. My friend got CHICKEN CURRY and the couple bites I had were delicious. The chicken thigh meat was tender and the curry was scrumptious. The side of chickpeas she got were also tasty and she seemed to really enjoy the naan that came with her "combo" order. The biggest plus for me is the service here. The owner gave my friend and me some sweet basmati rice and chai on the house, which were both good. I was completely sold on the chai (didn't need to add any sugar either) as the chai was fragrant and the milk's slight hint of sweetness provided more than enough flavor for me. I really liked the simplicity and am sold on ordering one for myself in the future. I'll be back to Mehran very soon. Don't let the no-frills, simple exterior stop you from giving this restaurant a chance. I wish I gave this place a try sooner.

This was a shocker of a place. It's a hole in the wall type of place next to Whole Foods on the opposite end of the Apple, Pottery Barn, and Crate and Barrel. I didn't think too much about this place until someone recommended this place to me. As for the inside, it isn't much. The fixtures are all in tip top condition. But, the food delivers. And I must say, that fresh naan that they bring out is one of the best naan I have had. So simple, yet so delicious. The person there was helpful and nice and made ordering easy. It was a bit daunting at first. In the end, I was able to get a nice sized plate of food and naan for $15. It's a good deal and the food was better than the options nearby for the price point and the amount. It's not a place for a date, but if you are nearby and have the munchies, it's a good spot to check out.
